Support for your Teddington air curtain

» If you have a Teddington Touch controller (TCX, TLC 700, TMC 300 / 500), you can find the serial number in the system menu without opening the unit. (instructions)

» On the wiring diagram inside the access panel. (instructions)

» On the typeplate inside or on the housing

Please carry out the following checks step by step.

1. Check whether the fuse in the fuse box is switched on.
   » Switch on the fuse
2. Check whether the main switch (optional extra) in the device is switched on.
   » Switch on the main switch
3. Check whether the control panel is switched on (touch control panels only).
   » Press the on/off button on the control panel
4. Check whether a fault is displayed on the control panel (touch control panels only).
   » Acknowledge the fault
   » Inform the installer about the fault
5. Check whether the air curtain has been enabled by the building management system (BMS).
   » Enable the air curtain via the BMS.
6. Check whether the air curtain is in automatic mode and whether an external contact, such as the door contact, is preventing operation.
   » Temporarily switch to manual mode and check whether the air curtain starts
   » If not, contact your installer
7. Check whether a timer is stored
   » Adjust the timer so that the device is activated

Please carry out the following checks step by step.

1. Check whether the central heating in the building is switched on.
   » Switch on the heating and open the valves
2. Check whether the Air Curtain is operating in winter mode.
   » Change the setting from summer to winter mode.
3. Check whether the target air discharge temperature is too low (touch control panel only).
   » Increase the target air discharge temperature.
4. Check whether the heat output is set too low (electric door air curtain only).
   » Increase the heat output. Caution: The heating level must not be set higher than the selected fan level.
5. Check whether the flow temperature at the air curtain is too low.
   » Contact the installer.

This can occur at the beginning of the heating season if dust or other deposits have accumulated on the heating coil while it was not in use.

» Switch off the unit and allow the heating coil to cool down
» Clean the heating coil and air intake grille with a vacuum cleaner or compressed air

1. Check whether the filter is dirty or blocked.
   » Check, clean or replace the filter.
2. Check whether the fan speed is set correctly.
   » Adjust the fan speed on the control panel.
3. Check whether the air discharge system is correctly adjusted.
   » Adjust the discharge direction so that the air stream reaches the floor in the doorway area
   » If the CONVERGO® nozzle has been installed in the wrong orientation, rotate it by 180°. See the operating instructions for further information.
4. Check whether fans are running properly
