The patented CONVERGO® pressure chamber nozzle system produces a stable, precisely directed air stream across the door opening while requiring a lower air volume than conventional air curtain systems. As a result, less air needs to be heated.
Air curtains with CONVERGO® technology require around 30% less heating capacity than comparable conventional air curtains.
Combined with the reduction in air exchange through the open door, this can significantly reduce the heating requirement associated with the doorway.

Tested performance
Every Teddington air curtain is individually tested before delivery. Performance data such as airflow rates, discharge velocities and sound emissions are specified in accordance with ISO 27327 and monitored by ILK Dresden.

More than 50 years of air curtain experience
Teddington has been developing and manufacturing air curtain systems in-house for over 50 years – quality ‘Made in Germany’. The devices are specially designed for their individual area of application and built in numerous variants depending on requirements. Performance data such as air volumes, discharge velocities and noise emissions are specified in accordance with ISO 27327 and monitored by the Institute for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology (ILK) in Dresden.

Application example
Industrial air curtains in a production facility with factory traffic
Requirement: In a production facility with several opposing doors, air was flowing in at high speed, resulting in significant temperature differences between different areas of the hall and the outside area. This meant that valuable energy was being lost at the doors due to the escaping air.
Solution: The installation of Ratiovent air curtains reduced the uncontrolled airflow through the opposing door openings and helped to limit the associated energy losses. Access for deliveries and internal transport remained unrestricted. Workstations close to the doors also benefited from reduced draughts and improved thermal comfort.
Application example
Industrial air curtains in the shipping area of the logistics department
Requirement: A logistics company was experiencing disruptive draughts during loading and unloading operations due to the open dock doors. The expensively conditioned indoor air was escaping uncontrollably from the hall.
Solution: Effective shielding was achieved by installing Teddington C-Series Industry air curtains above the doors. This resulted in savings of up to 80% of the thermal energy required to maintain the indoor air temperature. In addition, the draughts were successfully reduced, which significantly improved the working environment in the shipping area.
