Expert advice for the right air curtain solution
The right air curtain starts with careful planning.
Selecting and sizing an air curtain requires more than simply matching a unit to the dimensions of a door. Building conditions, door size and type, installation position, temperature differences, wind exposure and the way the entrance is used can all influence the required air curtain solution.
Teddington combines decades of experience in the design and manufacture of air curtains with project-specific technical advice. We consider the relevant factors at an early stage and support our customers through to detailed planning.
Different housing types, control options and configurations allow the air curtain system to be adapted to the requirements of the individual project – from shops and office buildings to shopping centres, exhibition halls, airports and industrial facilities.
Benefit from decades of experience in the design, planning and manufacture of air curtain systems.
Reduce energy losses through correct air curtain sizing
The patented CONVERGO® pressure chamber nozzle system produces a precisely directed air stream and provides effective air separation while requiring a lower air volume than conventional air curtains with air guide vanes. This means that less air needs to be moved and, in heated systems, less air needs to be heated.
Correct sizing and configuration are equally important. An incorrectly sized or poorly adjusted air curtain can consume unnecessary energy and reduce or even eliminate the intended energy benefit. We therefore consider the relevant building, door and operating conditions when designing the system in order to reduce energy losses as effectively as possible.
Expert air curtain planning
Every building and entrance situation is different. Factors such as door dimensions, installation position, available space, temperature differences and wind exposure all influence the design of an air curtain system.
Teddington takes these factors into account when planning the system and coordinates the unit, power level, installation type and controls with the requirements of the application. Correct sizing and configuration are essential for effective air separation and for avoiding unnecessary energy consumption during operation.
Our project advice can also take account of control requirements and integration with the building management system (BMS).
