E-Series Silent
The exceptionally quiet air curtain
The Teddington E-Series Silent combines the precise airflow control of the patented CONVERGO® pressure chamber nozzle system with particularly low-noise operation. It is designed for frequently used entrances in retail and commercial buildings where effective air separation and a low noise level are equally important.
The CONVERGO® pressure chamber nozzle system produces a precisely directed air stream across the doorway, reducing the exchange of indoor and outdoor air. This can reduce the loss of heated or cooled air as well as draughts around the entrance.
A key feature of the E-Series Silent is its low sound pressure level, starting at 40 dB(A) at a distance of 3 m. The performance data are based on measurements carried out in accordance with ISO 27327 by the Institute of Air Handling and Refrigeration (ILK) in Dresden. This makes the E-Series Silent particularly suitable for areas where low noise levels are important, such as boutiques, reception areas and museums.
Specially developed sound insulation and low-noise fans contribute to its quiet operation. Different housing types allow for exposed installation or integration into suspended ceilings.
The E-Series Silent is available with either AC or EC fans. EC fans provide continuously variable speed control, allowing the fan output to be adjusted to suit the requirements of the installation.

The E-Series Silent is available in different housing types to suit a range of installation requirements, including exposed wall or ceiling mounting, semi-recessed installation and full integration into a suspended ceiling.
E-Series Silent S
Particularly low-noise air curtain for exposed horizontal installation
The E-Series Silent in housing type S is designed for exposed horizontal installation. Air is drawn into the unit from the front, allowing it to be installed directly above the doorway or at greater heights up to the maximum recommended installation height.

E-Series Silent U
Particularly low-noise air curtain for visible or suspended ceiling installation
The air intake of the air curtain in housing type U is from below. This is ideal if the front intake does not work (e.g. due to a ceiling construction). With an installation frame, the air curtain can be installed discreet in the suspended ceiling.

E-Series Silent UDB
Particularly low-noise air curtain for flush suspended ceiling installation
Housing type UDB is designed for flush installation in a suspended ceiling, with air intake from below. The integrated ceiling frame allows the underside of the unit to be installed flush with the surrounding ceiling.

1 of 7CNC manufacturing of the housing components enables a high level of dimensional accuracy and consistent manufacturing quality. The clean housing design allows the air curtain to integrate discreetly into a wide range of interiors.
2 of 7The air intake grille made of sheet metal with slotted holes is aerodynamically shaped and has an attractive appearance.
3 of 7The fine adjustment by means of a grid enables the air discharge angle of the CONVERGO® nozzle to be set precisely.
4 of 7The discharge opening of the patented CONVERGO® nozzle extends almost continuously across the entire length of the unit. When several units are installed side by side, this allows a largely continuous discharge area to be created across the doorway.
5 of 7The large nozzle sidewalls help to guide the airflow through the discharge opening. An additional flow profile divides the airflow into a primary and secondary air stream. The higher discharge velocity of the primary air stream increases the penetration depth of the airflow.
6 of 7A separate flap, which can be opened without any special tools (a coin is all that is needed), filter maintenance can be carried out in a few simple steps.
7 of 7Wide range of accessories
A wide range of accessories is available for our air curtains – from contact switches and thermostats to temperature sensors, valves and practical mounting accessories. This allows the units to be adapted to different requirements and installation situations.
Comfort ceiling bracket
The comfort ceiling bracket enables stable multi-point mounting of the air curtain and reduces vibrations and noise.
Suspension cover
The AVS suspension cover conceals the supply lines and threaded rods of the air curtain, ensuring a clean, high-quality appearance.
Door contact
With the door contact, the control system switches on the air curtain as soon as the door is opened. When the door is closed, the air curtain is automatically switched off again.

Teddington air curtains are powder-coated to a high standard and supplied in RAL 9016 Traffic White as standard. Six additional colours are available for a small surcharge, with custom colours available on request.
